Motion Detection 1.4

Motion Detection is an experimental application that saves still pictures and/or makes .avi files when anything in motion is detected in front of the selected webcam. The pictures and the frames of the movies are timestamped.

How it works: When the program opens you will see a window with a black box in center that shows "Motion Detection" If the "start" button in motion program is grayed out the cam isnt in web cam mode. Go to the options tab and setup where you want pictures and/or videos to be saved. Go back to the detection tab and select the start button. You will then see the live video appear. Any movement if front of cam will show tiny red boxes over object, when you see the red boxes its recording, It puts everything into one AVI file once you hit the stop button. Remember, it only records when it sees movement so unless its constant motion in front of cam it will go on and off between movements.

AMCap is a small yet fully functional video capture and preview application compatible with DirectShow and most video capture sources. If you have an older version of amcap this wont over write it, it will just add another amcap icon to program list. You may want to delete the old one so you dont get them confused as they both will have same icons.
