LOOP RECORDING


When SD card becomes full it will loop back to beginning and over write previous videos. As example, say you have 3 videos on your SD card  v1, v2, v3 and the card is now full. Loop recording will loop back to v1 and over write it to v4 and continue recording, next it will over write v2 to v5, then v3 to v6 and so on.

SOUND RECORDER


Records WAV files. To use sound recorder turn on power then push shutter button. No different than shooting a video except you only get sound.
 
TIME LAPSE PHOTOS


Takes pictures automatically every "preset" number of seconds. Note: Continuous shot works in conjunction with time lapse so setting continuous shot to 3 will take 3 consecutive pictures in a row every "preset" number of seconds. To use time lapse turn power on then push the power button again to enter photo mode, press shutter button to start time lapse. (Note: some settings will be disabled when using time lapse)

MOTION DETECT


Motion detect has a max range of about 20-30 feet. To start motion detection turn power on.
To verify motion detect is working set recording indicator to ON. Light will blink when recording.

AVI / MOV firmware: Motion detect records 2 minute clips. When motion is detected the camera records for 2 minutes, at the end of 2 minutes if no motion is detected the camera goes back to standby mode waiting for next motion.
(Note: some settings will be disabled when using motion detect)
 
ROTATE VIDEO

Flips video 180 degrees (upside down). If your camera needs to be attached upside down this will let you see normal videos without having to stand on your head to watch it : )
 
AUDIO VOLUME

There are 4 settings for audio volume. Off, Low, Med, High. When using volume OFF the file sizes are no different than if volume was ON so the audio must still be in the video, but is muted.
 
TV MODE

NTSC is the video standard used in North America. 30 frames are transmitted each second.
PAL is the video standard mostly used overseas. 25 frames are transmitted each second.
 
FREQUENCY Hz

Used to avoid artificial light flickering on your recordings. 60Hz is used in U.S.
 
AUTO SHUT OFF

There are 4 settings for auto shut off. Off, 30s, 60s, 90s. This is the amount of time before the camera shuts off after being in standby mode with no activity. Set to OFF the camera will remain ON until its stopped or battery is depleted.
 
TV ICONS

Hides or displays icons on TV when connected using AV cable.
 
CONTINUOUS SHOT

The number of pictures taken when shutter button is pressed.
Setting 1: will take 1 picture each time the button is pressed.
Setting 2: will take 2 consecutive pictures in a row.
Setting 3: will take 3 consecutive pictures in a row.

VIDEO CLIP LENGTH

With loop recording ON the video clip lengths are 3min, 5min, 10min, 15min.
With loop recording OFF the video clip length is 1 continuous video.

RECORDING INDICATOR

When set to ON LED will blink when recording. When set to Off LED will blink twice then not be visible.
 
PHOTO SIZE

Photo sizes are 1 mega pixel, 2 mega pixel, 3 mega pixel.
1 mega pixel the picture size will be 1280x960.
2 mega pixel the pictures will be 1600x1200.
3 mega pixel the pictures will be 2048x1536.
 
VIDEO RESOLUTION

1280x720 = 720P
848x480 = WVGA
640x480 =VGA
 
VIDEO BIT RATE

Using a higher bit rate will use up more space on SD card and use up more battery without seeing any difference in video quality. 7Mbps is recommended.
 
TIME STAMP

Set to OFF, No date/time in pictures or videos.
Set to ON, Displays date/time in pictures or videos.
